General Description of the Debut Album
WaylouN’s self-titled debut album released on June 7th 2024. Consisted of 10 tracks with a total time of 37m 6s. Wayloun’s debut is a mix of Groove, Thrash Meal and Death Metal according to Metal-Archives. But we consider this debut album as a very harsh yet melodic Alternative Metal. As it is with every band’s debut album, “Wayloun” (album) is of high importance to us from start to end of the project. This includes: writing, producing, recording, mixing, mastering and everything else. The whole project of Wayloun (album) took less than 6 months from that very moment of “… OK! let’s start WaylouN”.

Lyrical & Musical Feel of Debut
We in WaylouN, always had the same point of view regarding the society and world leaders. This notion is very apparent in the lyrics and the heavy, harsh vibe of the music. The hate, the frustration, the disappointments, …, these things don’t leave space for us to be bogged down with spirituality. Which seems to be the norm these days. I, personally hear lots of modern metal songs that either is solely about hate and anger. Or they are so childish that me as a second language speaker of English can’t stop snickering. Or, I can’t make head nor tails of it. In no shape or form, I want to use this little platform to disrespect anyone, it is subjective after all. There is no better judge than the listener, who am I to say something is bad or good.
Getting past a minor rant and moving on. Although the main theme of Wayloun (album) revolves around a poetic hatred towards the toxic modern society and political frustration – there lies within the album, an epic ballad called “Just an Inch into My Soul”. The name is self-explanatory and I am not going deliberate over the meaning and feeling of this song, but we always look at such tracks as a breather for the listener. Although, never mind that nowadays people don’t really listen to full albums, it’s just tracks, trendy tracks. Which is very ironic to think that internet has supposedly made discovering considerably easier than when I was younger, but…
Our Thoughts
Again, moving on to the album! We are not going to namedrop our favorite tracks from this album, but we want to mention that initially, there were around 15 tracks in total for this debut. In the end, when we were to decide on track-listing, we scratched around 5 tracks, due to not having the same vibe as others i.e. the ten final tracks included.
Final Words

By the way, this “album” is considered an “EP” by yesterday’s standards, but since our virtual publisher says it is an album, I guess it is an album.
